All of our lectures will be pre-recorded and available to view on-line. Live workshops and open hours  will be held at various times through the semester which will be recorded, so you can watch them if the arranged time clashes with your timetable. You are also encouraged to ask your questions on Piazza and engage in discussion with your colleagues. Tutorials will be live and in-person starting in week 3. &lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;h3&gt;Course Outline&lt;/h3&gt;&lt;div id="inf-course-outline"&gt;&lt;p&gt;Students and tutors will be matched up based on interests/specialisms at the start of semester 1. Students will be given examples of good reviews, guidance on literature reviewing, literature searching and citation methods. In addition they may be directed towards research seminars in relevant topics. The student should then explore the general area over the semester in consultation with their tutor. It is expected that each student will work independently and prepare in advance for the tutorials, so that they can receive feedback from the tutor and colleagues on key elements of a review. During the latter half of the semester, students will produce a substantial review of a research area.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;

You are expected to learn from the papers, books, videos and discussions covered in tutorial sessions. The lectures primarily serve as a platform to help with your understanding of the key foundations of the course and to give you an opportunity to ask questions and discuss issues. This is a large course and wide engagement in questioning and discussion will be difficult or impossible to achieve.
