| 2/11/2026 | DPMT system opens for MSc project proposals. Students can also self-propose projects. |
| 11/12/2026 | Deadline for all project proposals, including self-proposals. No new projects can be proposed after this stage. |
| 14/12/2026 |
Project selection, registration, and ranking phase starts: Students begin registering interest in projects and meeting with potential supervisors. Supervisors mark interested students as suitable/unsuitable for projects. Students rank their preferences. |
| 22/1/2027 | Project selection and registration phase ends. It is no longer possible for students to register for new projects. Supervisors must have marked all interested students as either suitable or unsuitable. Each student has ranked interesting projects in order of preference and has been marked suitable for several projects. |
| 25/1/2027 | Project allocation begins. To be completed during the rest of the week. |
| 29/1/2027 | Project allocation ends and is announced to students. |
| 5/2/2027 | Special cases processed. Deadline for changes to projects and supervisors. |
| End of April 2027 | Final IPP Submission; see IPP page. |
| June 2027 | Students start work on MSc projects, based on their IPP. |
| July 2027 | Stage 2 BoE officially makes progression decisions. |
| July 2027 | Submission of project progress reports. |
| August 2027 | Submission of dissertation. |
| September 2027 | First and second markers complete their project marking and upload to webmark. |
| September 2027 | All project moderation complete. |
| October 2027 | Stage 2 BoE award decisions. |
| November 2027 | PG Award and Dissertation mark publication. |
