Not particularly recent, so some algorithms are missing. However, it is a fantastic survey about community detection and it provides a lot of detail for those interested.

Tiago Peixoto (2022) Descriptive vs inferential community detection in networks: pitfalls, myths, and half-truths. https://arxiv.org/pdf/2112.00183
Great analysis of the difference between approaches such as the SBM and modularity maximisation. A bit heavy on the maths sometimes, but insightful even if you skip the maths.
