INF1-CG: Assessment

The assessment for this course consists of:

  • an assessed assignment, worth 20% of the overall mark;
  • five quizzes to test your knowledge, each worth 4% of the overall mark;
  • a final exam, worth 60% of the overall mark.

There is no "force fail" -- you don't need to get a certain mark in any of the components, you just need to get an overall mark of 40 or above to pass the course. The overall mark is calculated by taking the weighted average of the marks of the components, with the weightings indicated above. If you fail the course at the first attempt, you will be able to take a re-sit exam in August.
