Weeks 11+: Practice exam and revision

Welcome to Week 11! There are no lectures this week, but we'll use this page to provide useful information about exam revision and support. You should hopefully all be aware that the exam is on Fri 12 Dec. and you should have received further information about the time and location.

Reminders and announcements

• Tutorial 4 met during Week 11 to help with your exam revision. Solution notes are now available.
  • This week is the last chance to give us feedback about tutorials and labs! This is a very short anonymous feedback form to help us know how this year's new tutorials and labs went, and to provide suggestions (if you want). This will close on 5 Dec so I can collate the information to send to staff. (One response per person only.)
• Additional exam revision support. Here are some additional resources to help you prepare for the ANLP final exam.
  • Exam revision guide (same as last week)
  • Examinable topics document (same as last week)
  • Practice exam.
    • We strongly recommend using this as a timed practice, only after reading through the two documents above and doing most of your revision.
    • We will not post solutions to these questions. If you have a question about your solution, please post on Piazza. We can provide feedback (within reason).
  • Piazza: We'll continue monitoring Piazza in the run-up to the exam, but:
    • We will not answer questions posted less than 36 hours before the exam. This is to encourage you to start revision early, to discourage a flood of last-minute questions, and so we can catch up on anything posted earlier. Of course you're still welcome to post, in case your classmates can answer.
  • TA help hours:
    • We have scheduled some additional drop-in help hours. A TA will be available in AT 5.07 at these times:
      • Fri 28 Nov, 10-11am
      • Tue 2 Dec, 3-4pm
      • Wed 3 Dec, 3-4pm
      • Fri 5 Dec, 10-11am
