EIP: Support and Materials
Support
We will use Piazza as a forum to ask questions and receive support from the course team. Please try to avoid other communication channels for any questions and comments that are worth sharing with the whole class.
The course organiser will provide a weekly drop-in office hour all students can use to ask specific queries every Tuesday at 16:15 (after the classroom session).
The course organiser and lab demonstrator will continually support all groups in weekly in-class sessions and provide continual feedback on their submissions as they are being developed.
Materials
Worksheets
The course makes extensive use of a series of Disciplined Entrepreneurship Worksheets developed by the authors of the textbook. It is important students store them in an easily accessible and recognisable location on their University desktop account as they will have to be accessed frequently during in-class sessions.
Lecture Slides
The slide decks for the course only provide a basic structure to guide in-class discussion, and the course does not rely very much on them, but they are providedor reference. Please note that the currently linked versions are preliminary and will be updated prior to the start of the course in early January 2025. The links currently provided will be complemented with additional material for guest lectures as it becomes available.
Worksheets and lecture slides can be accessed here (requires EASE authentication). You will find a copy in the SharePoint site set up for your project team, see next item.
Collaboration tools
Each project team will be provided with a SharePoint site where they can jointly edit their worksheets, collate and collaborate on other documents, and link other documents to.
Each project team will also be provided with a WordPress site they will use to create their final business plan web site.
The teaching team will have access to these sites to be able to provide feedback on the work of each team. Students may choose to use additional collaboration tools, but must be aware that the teaching team will not be able to view content on those and provide feedback.
Lecture Recordings
All lecture recordings should be accessed via Learn, and you will need to log in using your EASE account. As lectures only make up a small part of the in-class sessions (with the majority of the time devoted to group work), most of the sessions will not be recorded.
