S2 Week 4 Workshop

The aim of the S2 Week 3 task and the S2 Week 4 workshop is to build your fitness in solving problems about sampling distributions and confidence intervals.

In the task sheet below, we've given you some exercises (questions 1 to 3) to try before the workshop, and some questions (4 to 7) to discuss at the workshop, in groups.

We'll release solutions to questions 1-3 at the beginning of week 4, but we strongly suggest you don't look at them until you've tried the problems for yourself.

In the workshop:

• If you've done questions 1-3 before the workshop, share solutions and evaluate whether and why your solutions are right. Then discuss questions 4-7.
• If you didn't manage to do questions 1-3 before the workshop, work through them in your groups, and check your answers against the solutions.
