Tasks
Your major tasks and deadlines this week are:
- Do Quiz 2, which is due on Tuesday 11 February at 12:00 noon.
- Attend lectures 12, 13, and 14.
- Attend your tutorial group. Make sure to first attempt the Questions for Tutorial 4 on your own.
- Attend one of the drop-in labs.
- Read the readings for this week.
- If you need help with the course material, attend one of the office hours.
- Start preparing for Tutorial 5, which will happen in week 6 (after Flexible Learning Week).
- Next week is flexible learning week! No lectures, tutorials, labs, or office hours. It’s a great opportunity to catch up with the reading for the course!

*This book is listed here as possible additional reading for students who are fascinated by the content of lectures 14 and 15. It provides a lot more detail, presented for a general audience. Focus on parts 2 and 4.

Tutorials
Please attempt to answer the Questions for Tutorial 4. These will be discussed in the tutorial sessions this week.
Labs
Please attend one of the drop-in lab sessions this week. The labs are designed to help with the assignments, and you can ask the lab demonstrator if anything is unclear with Assignment 1.
